A hard-fought, close and highly-entertaining game played at the club on 17th April. My expanding Ultramarines army took on Kris' Grey Knights, fought using the new GK codex. The game was annihilation, with a pitched battle deployment. It was give and take for the first few turns, although Kris was marginally ahead until turn 5 of the game. My Terminators had been issued with papier mache armour as usual, and my Librarian managed to immolate himself, albeit whilst finishing off Kris' scary new Dreadknight.
As luck would have it, I managed to eke out another two turns. A lucky Vindicator round and massed bolter fire meant that I was able to secure a marginal victory for the Ultramarines. Victoris Ultra!
